Meet Nnamdi Nwaohiri, MD, MPH
Dr. Nnamdi Nwaohiri is a board-certified nephrology and hypertension specialist in Georgia. He completed his nephrology fellowship, chief residency and internal medicine training at New York Hospital Queens, now New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens.
Following his passion for teaching medical residents and students, he served as Assistant Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine and then at Morehouse School of Medicine, Nephrology Division. He was also the Associate Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency at Morehouse School of Medicine.
He earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Baltimore, MD and a medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has over 20 years of experience in Medicine and Nephrology. The bulk of his professional career has been dedicated to training medical students and residents. He brings that wealth of experience and compassionate patient care to his practice daily.
During his free time, Dr. Nwaohiri enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also takes pleasure in traveling and experiencing new cultures.
